Dr. Eileen Hutchins
Dr. Hutchins received degrees in piano performance from the New England Conservatory, the Juilliard School, and the University of Maryland. Winner of many competitions, she has performed widely in solo recitals and with orchestra. Eileen has commissioned and premiered several new works, co-founded a music festival, and recorded a CD featuring the piano music of Debussy. She has held department chair and faculty member posts at the college level. Recently, Eileen was named a Colleague of the American Guild of Organists. She has served churches of six denominations, both as organist and choir director, and especially enjoys leading hymns and playing the music of J.S. Bach on the pipe organ. Eileen lives in Boston with her husband, Chris, their daughter, Jane and Loretta the cat.
