The Hingham Congregational Church is an Open and Affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ.
Hingham Congregational is a theologically progressive, solidly Christian church that takes the Bible seriously, but not literally. We work hard to create a warm, mutually supportive atmosphere where questions are encouraged, spiritual growth is our primary concern, and serving others is a high priority. We’d love for you to be part of our community!

We are an Open and Affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ. It is with the spirit and the love of God that we openly welcome all persons, inclusive of every race, ethnicity, class, age, gender, physical or mental ability, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression and inclusive of any others, to journey with us as we move forward with the work of this church in the world.

Steward Campaign 2026 – Investing in our Community
The annual stewardship pledge is the yearly commitment each of our members makes to support our Congregation’s work within our community and in the wider world.
Our theme for the 2026 Stewardship Campaign is guided by the words of the Book of Hebrews 10:24: “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works”. Our Bible resonates with words that celebrate the love and good works that we strive to accomplish for God, for each other and for our community. Hingham Congregational Church lives these values, and with your help we will grow our efforts and accomplishments in 2026.

Green tip of the Week Saving Water
During this time of a Level 2 Water Ban (as of 6/14) in Hingham, if you find yourself running down the drain in the kitchen or bathroom sink waiting for it to warm up, try saving that water (possibly a gallon) in a gallon size plastic water bottle or a thoroughly rinsed milk bottle (posibly with the top cut larger) in which to run your water until it warms up to your desired temperature? Then use the water on your iindoor or ouydoor plants. one other idea – if ypu do not already have one: Set up a rain barrel under a backyard downspout.
USE WISELY….HELP US CARE FOR OUR FRAGILE ENVIRONMENT BY REDUCING WASTE.
