What will the worship service be like?

Uplifting!  Spend an hour on Sunday morning getting centered spiritually for the week ahead.  Hear beautiful music, spend time praying for your loved ones and the community, and listen to an inspiring sermon.  You will receive a bulletin when you walk into the sanctuary with the order of service.  Our service is relaxed and easy to follow.  Sermons are thought provoking and spiritually based. What will the music be like?

The vibrant music program is one of the main reasons many of our members come on Sunday morning.  An adult choir sings most Sundays.  We also have a youth choir that sings in church throughout the year.  We have a Folk Choir that performs throughout the year, and many services feature beautiful vocal solos or instrumental pieces.  The hymns are chosen to enhance the sermon theme.

How long are the worship services?

The Sunday morning service usually lasts about an hour.  Everyone is welcome to join in the coffee hour that takes place in Marshall Room on the lower level immediately following the service.  This is a good time to meet some of the church’s members and find out more about the many programs and activities to get involved in.

What should I wear to church?

Wear whatever makes you comfortable.  On any given Sunday you may find people wearing slacks and sweaters, suits, dresses, khakis or jeans in the sanctuary.   In the summer, there may be some people in shorts and sandals, while others could be dressed up as if attending a wedding. It’s your time to worship; you should be comfortable doing that.

Do I have to be a member of the church to take Communion?

No. This is not our table; this is Christ’s table.  All men, women and even children are invited to celebrate the sacrament.  We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of the month, normally by passing a tray with the elements to one another. On occasion we serve communion by intinction filing to the front of the sanctuary and dipping the bread into a common cup. Bread and juice are also passed to those who are unable to take walking communion.

Where do my children go during the worship service?

Infants and toddlers may go to the nursery at any time. During the program year (September through June), children in grades pre K – 8 join their families in worship until the “Time for Children” where they hear a short message and then leave for Church School. During the summer months a “one room school house” is offered for all children through grade 5. See more about our Church School HERE...

Where do I park?

Parking is available on Main Street, and the side streets around the church. Handicap parking is located in the lot between the church and the church office building.

Handicap Access?
