Lenten Reflections

EASY EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY AT HCC

Sara Holland and Susan Wells are partnering with Kate Sheinis and Peter Allen to create our first ever inter-generational Lenten reflection booklet! This Lenten reflection book will help the HCC family move through the season intentionally with our beloved community members.

We are calling YOU (as a person, couple, family, chosen family, pair of siblings, etc.) to offer reflections on scripture for the Lenten season. The book will begin with the reflection attached here. We invite you to use prose, poetry, or art work to reflect on the scripture you choose. Or maybe even ‘reflect’ by simply providing another written piece by some great thinker - past or present.

There are 39 openings for scripture reflections; sign up in the vestry or by sending Sara a preference of New Testament or Old (Hebrew Bible). If you sign up in the vestry, you will choose your own verse. Or if you call Sara she can let you know what scripture pieces are still available.

Because we hope to pass these out by February 7^th, we would like for these short and sweet reflections to be submitted by January 28^th. If you cannot offer a reflection but would like to enjoy this community created piece, please let one of us in the office know by January 31^st as they will go to print on February 4^th and 5^th. It is possible there will be a small cost for printing, but we cannot tell at this point.
