Confirmation class meets Wednesday evenings, 6:30-7:30 on the following dates:

November 19, December 17, January 21, February TBA. March TBA. April TBA
Confirmation Retreat will be held on Friday, March 6 to Saturday March 7, 2015.

Beginning in September, all 9th graders are invited to join our Confirmation Class, which meets twice monthly on Wednesday evenings.

The confirmation year at HCC is all about exploring what it means to grow in faith and be a community of Christ’s people. Together, we will discern how each confirmand is called to be an instrument of God’s creativity and love within and beyond our church.

Using the lenses of scripture, our everyday lives, and the reality of the world around us, we will examine the ways of Jesus and how we might follow a faithful pathway.

Led by our Senior Pastor (Rev. Dr. Peter Allen), our Youth Pastor (Rev. Brandon Harrington), Deacon Nancy Ham, and adult sponsors, the group will follow an organized curriculum which includes activity-based learning, creative projects, discussion, a few field trips, and a retreat. Participants are asked to worship regularly as part of the confirmation experience.

Those who choose will be confirmed on the first Sunday in June. The service is an affirmation of the vows made at baptism and an opportunity for confirmands to enter into covenant with their church family. Whether or not participants choose to be confirmed, all youth are welcome and encouraged to participate fully in the life of the congregation and attend the Senior High Youth Group.
